Shodh uses built-in academic search and web search tools to query multiple sources simultaneously. It reads and compares results across publications, preprints, and trusted web sources before synthesising an answer.
Are the citations accurate?
Shodh always traces every claim back to a source and provides direct links for you to verify. Like any AI tool, we recommend reviewing the cited material for critical work — think of Shodh as a rigorous research assistant, not a replacement for expert judgement.
Does Shodh support uploading my own papers or PDFs?
File upload is on our roadmap. Currently, Shodh works through a structured prompt interface — you type your question and Shodh searches externally. PDF and document ingestion will be available in a future release.
What academic databases does Shodh search?
Shodh searches across major academic and open-access sources, including preprint servers and scholarly databases. The exact catalogue of sources is expanding — early-access users will be the first to benefit from new integrations.
Is my research data private?
Your queries are processed to generate answers but are not used to train models or shared with third parties. We are committed to handling your research with discretion. A full privacy policy will be published before the public launch.
